Cathy owns and operates The Hummer House wildlife sanctuary just south of Christoval with her husband Dan, as well as facilitates a yearly Camp Discovery for all fourth graders at CISD in the spring. Cathy also organizes and oversees the Christoval Elementary A Honor Roll luncheon each six weeks. Six of her grandchildren have attended CISD, and her daughter is currently a teacher. A true believer in community involvement to enrich and nurture the next generation, she is excited about the impact a performing arts center would have for the whole community.
Dr. Jack recently retired after 40 years of practicing medicine. He and his wife Carolyn are now enjoying their children and grandchildren; with two grandsons thriving as members of the cast and crew of UIL state winning one act plays despite the school’s limited resources and space. Believing the performing arts instill self confidence and teamwork in the participants which in turn better equips them for future challenges, Jack is committed to the construction of a Performing Arts Center.
Carolyn, alongside her husband Jack, are enjoying more family time as a retired nurse and at one time owned and managed Pippen Properties construction company.
She has a history of being active and serving her community, especially young people.
She enjoys watching the students at Christoval ISD strive to be leaders in every area of participation. Passionate about the arts, especially the performing arts, she has rarely missed a performance of the one act play competitions of Christoval High School. With a desire to pay it forward for the teachers, students and faculty who have succeeded with very limited resources she is now dedicating her time and talents bringing a Christoval Performing Arts Center to fruition.
Theresa is a public and media relations consultant. Her father graduated from Christoval High School in 1945 and her son in 2018; the latter winning the best male actor award at the state 2A competition. Knowing a performing arts center would be a win-win for the students and the community, she is excited to be a part of this effort that will make a generational impact in Christoval.
Stephanie has worked as a pharmacist at a local hospital in San Angelo since 2002. She is thrilled her oldest child Beth is now at West Texas A&M excelling in creative fields, credited in part by a strong foundation built by participating and excelling in Christoval ISD's One Act Play and Band programs. Her son, Ben, also excelled in the performing arts at Christoval High School in both One Act Play and Band.
Russell has built a successful career in Information Technology (IT) since 1994, also currently working for a local hospital in San Angelo as a System Administrator. He has been active in youth programs in Christoval volunteering his time to lead and train young kids to work towards a goal. Alongside his wife Stephanie they’ve spent many-a-night cheering on their creative children, both of whom have won best actor awards at the state level.
