We are a group of like minded individuals with the goal of providing a needed Performing Arts Center for Christoval ISD and the community.  We are established under the San Angelo Area Foundation as a special project, so that all donations are tax deductible.  This enables us to focus all our efforts and funds towards the completion of this project.

The Stage By The River is a committee dedicated to creating a world class venue for performing arts. This effort is to celebrate our award-winning programs and provide a gathering space for future events in Christoval, TX. 

The Stage By the River is what the committee affectionately calls this  project, as it highlights the beautiful aspect of Christoval, the Concho  River.

Christoval ISD One Act Play program has:

• Qualified for State 10 out of the last 12 years
• 3 - State Championships
• 2 - 1st Runner Up
• 1 - 4th Place
• 1 - 5th Place
• 1 - 6th Place
• 3 Samuel French Award Winners (top acting award in 2A State Competition)
• 44 Best Performers
• 100 All-Star cast members
• 59 Honorable Mentions for All-Star Cast

Christoval ISD Band program has:

• First Division I (Superior) Rating (Concert) in school history--2012
• Five Division I Ratings at the UIL Region Marching Contest--2012, 2013, 2014, 2020, 2021
• Three appearances at the UIL Area Marching Contest--2013, 2020, 2021
• Two 2-Event Sweepstakes (Division I Ratings in Concert & Sight-Reading)--2017, 2024
• Four 3-Event Sweepstakes (Division I Ratings in Marching, Concert, & Sight-Reading)--2013, 2014, 2015, 2021
• 2 additional Division I Ratings for Sight-Reading--2022, 2023
• State Finalist in the Association for Texas Small School Bands (ATSSB) Outstanding Performance Series (OPS)--2024
  

With a Performing Arts Center, the possibilities for Christoval ISD and the Christoval community are endless:

We are still in the planning phase of this project and do not have a hard target for cost.  Our preliminary estimate of cost for this project will be around $15 million. We determined this amount from the research and bids we have already received.  Once we have a hard target, we will update this answer and publish that here.
